Xu palace: reputation travels; the person arrives later

Lianzhen and Tianfu in Chen/Xu Life Palace: a Prison star carrying a Treasury star. The Treasury star governs saving money. Opposite is Qisha, the Wealth Palace is Ziwei, and the Career Palace is Wuqu and Tianxiang. Tianfu can steady Lianzhen’s restlessness: the native handles affairs calmly, with a more refined temperament. Ambition is larger than Lianzhen–Tianxiang; a field can be opened from emptiness, yet the path is very fixed, and it also falls into the Chen/Xu net—like being caught. This is late blooming. Most stars in the three directions sit bright, with Ziwei and Tianxiang facing toward the Life Palace. Xu palace is better than Chen: Wealth in Wu, Ziwei sitting bright, plus sun and moon both bright; Parents Palace Taiyin in Hai is called 月朗天門 (moon bright at the heavenly gate), so the family background is often better. Jia and Ji years meeting Lu are the finest. Classic texts say sitting Xu with auspicious support can 腰金衣紫 (wear a gold belt and purple robe)—high office and coming forward, suited to public office and politics.

Teacher Ming's reading: Lianzhen and Tianfu in Chen/Xu Life Palace

Do not treat 腰金衣紫 (gold belt, purple robe) as bound to mean high office. I read Lianzhen and Tianfu as calm and refined in temperament, yet in the net, with a fixed path—late blooming. Tianfu can steady restlessness; ambition is larger than Lianzhen–Tianxiang, and a field can be opened from emptiness. Hurry will not do it. The Treasury star must receive Lu; without Lu it is called 空庫 (empty treasury).

Jia, Ji, and Geng years share much the same point—Lu fills the treasury. If your year is not listed, do not worry—first understand this star group's temperament.

Lianzhen and Tianfu in Chen versus Xu

Xu palace is better than Chen; reputation travels farther

Xu palace has Wealth in Wu, Ziwei sitting bright, plus sun and moon both bright. Parents Palace Taiyin in Hai is 月朗天門 (moon bright at the heavenly gate); the family background is often better. Jia and Ji years meeting Lu: a Treasury star receiving Lu is the finest. Chen palace has Ziwei in a level seat and sun and moon reversed; more labour, yet career can still be made.

Tianfu steadies Lianzhen: calm, refined temperament

Lianzhen is both Prison and Killing, heavy on feeling, short on reason. Tianfu is conservative and cautious, able to press restlessness down: the native is calm, with a refined temperament. Ambition is larger than Lianzhen–Tianxiang; affairs can be completed from emptiness. The path is fixed, relationships are not easily changed, and the native is also in the net—hence late blooming.

Sitting Xu with auspicious stars: classic texts say 腰金衣紫 (gold belt, purple robe)

Most of the three directions sit bright, with Ziwei and Tianxiang facing the wall, called 紫相朝垣 (Ziwei and Tianxiang facing the wall). The native is broad-chested, calculating, and ambitious. Meeting the six auspicious stars again, achievement is more visible. Lianzhen governs rank, Tianfu governs command and the treasury; the native will present the self, suited to public office, politics, or a large institution, and business is also possible.

Learning points: Lianzhen and Tianfu in Chen/Xu Life Palace

  1. Meeting the six auspicious stars fills the treasury; kinship remains thin: meeting Zuofu/Youbi, Wenchang/Wenqu, and Tiankui/Tianyue, achievement is more visible and the money treasury fuller. Auspicious and malefic mixed: labour still brings completion. Many malefics without auspicious stars: only warmth and food. Spouse is Pojun; Siblings and Children are empty palaces; Property is Tiantong and Jumen—kinship is thinner.
  2. Wenchang/Wenqu and Zuofu/Youbi can do large things; Xu palace reputation travels: meeting Wenchang and Wenqu, learning is broad; fame in the arts is possible. Add Zuofu and Youbi and authority can be held, mostly as a bureau head or company owner. Xu-palace natives have a name that travels farther.
  3. A Ren year is the least liked: Ren-year Wealth Palace Ziwei Hua Quan looks forceful, yet Career Palace Wuqu must Hua Ji, and Tianfu becomes 空庫 (empty treasury) or an exposed treasury. The native has talent, yet feelings easily turn absolute, and life is full of hardship.
  4. Meeting malefics, methods easily go off: there is charge, yet too utilitarian—any means to the end. Travel and setbacks are many; youth does not run smoothly. Meeting Qingyang/Tuoluo: more disputes and bloodshed. Meeting Huoxing/Lingxing: stubborn character, more setbacks. Meeting Dikong/Dijie: ideals too high, career swings large.
  5. The Treasury star must receive Lu: Tianfu is the Treasury star and will save money. Hua Lu or Lucun must be seen for grain to be in the store. Without Lu it is called 空庫 (empty treasury): the vessel is there, the grain is not; rank and money cannot land.
  6. Opposite Qisha can help you charge out of the net: Travel is Qisha sitting alone. Qisha is like a general—active and decisive. If malefics or Hua Quan come to meet, charge is stronger, the net can be broken earlier, and career completes earlier—yet accidents are also more.

Teacher Ming's reading: how to read Lianzhen and Tianfu in Chen/Xu

To close this article: Lianzhen and Tianfu with auspicious stars can 腰金衣紫 (wear a gold belt and purple robe), suited to public office and politics. A Treasury star without Lu is 空庫 (empty treasury). Opposite Qisha can help you charge out of the net, yet accidents are also more. A Ren year with Wuqu Hua Ji is the least liked.

Three points are enough to remember. First, the treasury needs Lu. Second, late blooming cannot be hurried. Third, an empty treasury cannot stand, however noble.
