Blessing and shelter stacked; Yin is smoother than Shen

Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace is called 福蔭同聚 (Blessing and Shelter Together). Opposite has no main star, Wealth is Taiyin in Chen/Xu, Career is Tianji in Zi/Wu—also the proper 機月同梁 (Ji-Yue-Tong-Liang) pattern, Tianji, Taiyin, Tiantong, and Tianliang complete. Tiantong is a blessing star: this blessing is mostly none first then have, poor first then rich; Tianliang is a sheltering star: within shelter there is often disaster first, then resolution. Both walk hardship first then success; life usually must endure a stretch before results show. Tiantong is like a child, romantic and casual; Tianliang is like an elder, principled, carrying lonely clash. In Yin, Tianliang sits bright and Tiantong’s force is average, so Tianliang leads: the native is active, elders are willing to support, sun and moon are both bright, more smooth. In Shen, Tiantong sits bright and Tianliang sits dark, so Tiantong leads: the native is open and loves enjoyment, yet lacks drive; sun and moon reversed, marriage is less favourable. Without Lu, work drifts; public service or a large organisation fits.

Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace by birth year

Bing-year natives, Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace

Life Palace Tiantong Hua Lu: elders are more willing to pull the native up, and casualness and enjoyment also thicken. Career Palace Tianji Hua Quan can steady the change. Blessing and longevity are more complete, suited to showing talent inside a stable frame.

Ding-year natives, Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace

Life Palace Tiantong Hua Quan, Wealth Taiyin Hua Lu, Career Tianji Hua Ke: Ke, Quan, and Lu complete, called 三奇嘉會 (Three Wonders Gathering). Lucun in Wu. Sitting Yin has Lu in two places, better; sitting Shen is a grade lower. Blessing and longevity are more complete.

Ji-year natives, Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace

Life Palace Tianliang Hua Ke: reputation arrives, suited to culture and the arts. Parents Palace Wuqu Hua Lu: family circumstances are not poor. Lucun in Wu guards the Spouse and Career line. Natives sitting Yin: Lucun enters Career, so job change lessens and the name travels farther.

Teacher Ming's reading: Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace

Do not treat 福蔭同聚 (Blessing and Shelter Together) as a life of being covered. I read Tiantong and Tianliang as both walking hardship first then success: a stretch must be endured before results show. This blessing is mostly none first then have; this shelter often has disaster first, then resolution. Child and elder share a palace, pulling both ways; without Lu, work drifts, and rushing to enjoy blessing misses the beat.

Bing, Ding, and Ji years share much the same point—Lu, plus Ke, Quan, and Lu, so blessing and shelter sit solid. If your year is not listed, do not worry—first understand this star group's temperament.

Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin versus Shen

Shen led by Tiantong: open yet lacking drive

Shen Tiantong bright, Tianliang dark: the native is open, generous, and loves enjoyment, yet Tianliang cannot stir Tiantong’s laziness, so action lacks drive. 日月反背 (sun and moon reversed): Taiyang in Xu loses shine and cannot dissolve Spouse Jumen’s darkness, so marriage is less favourable. Tianliang in Shen is both dark and in a postal-horse place: life drifts more, the force to resolve danger is smaller, and disturbance is more, yet in the end most can pass through.

Ji-Yue-Tong-Liang: suited to support, not to being one’s own boss

Career Tianji, Wealth Taiyin: the mind is fine, there is literary art, coordination is good—talent for support. Public service or a large organisation fits, working under strong people. Yin/Shen are postal-horse places, governing running; without Lucun or Hua Lu, work likes to change and income swings widely.

Child and elder share a palace, pulling both ways

Tiantong is wilful and easygoing; Tianliang is principled, mature, and courteous, also carrying loneliness and clash. Sharing a palace is both contradiction and complement, like a child and an elder living together. Which star holds the upper hand must be seen: leaning romantic or leaning disciplined, advance and retreat are entirely different.

Yin led by Tianliang: more active

Yin Tianliang bright, Tiantong average: sun and moon both bright, the native is active, elders easy to support. Tiantong can patch Tianliang’s isolation and stubbornness. With auspicious stars, blessing and longevity are more complete, less afraid of danger, able to have mid-to-upper results. Fortune Taiyang in Chen can dissolve Spouse Jumen’s darkness. Tianliang likes to be the elder, and is also fond of debate.

Bitter first then sweet; rushing to enjoy blessing misses the beat

Tiantong’s blessing is poor first then rich, none first then have; Tianliang’s shelter is disaster first, then resolution. Sitting together, life often walks a stretch of cold before results are exchanged. Rushing to enjoy blessing instead misses this group’s rhythm.

Learning points: Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen Life Palace

  1. Geng year sitting Shen: Qingyang–Tuoluo clamping Ji needs self-cultivation: Shen Tiantong Hua Ji sharing Lucun forms Qingyang–Tuoluo clamping Ji. The native sways between romance and discipline, easily stingy and selfish. Self-cultivation is needed to pull both sides back.
  2. Postal-horse place without Lu: career drifts: Yin/Shen already like movement. Without Lucun or Hua Lu, work and income swing widely. Public service is more likely to succeed; otherwise life drifts and settling is hard.
  3. Wenchang/Wenqu, Lu-Ma, or peach blossom arriving easily becomes a romantic wastrel: a postal-horse place stacked again with Wenchang/Wenqu, Lu and the horse, or peach-blossom stars easily becomes nothing achieved. Meeting malefics and Ji, the inner mind is restless. Most welcome Ke, Quan, Lu, and auspicious stars meeting: the native is kind and easygoing, spirit is pleasant, and career can be done.
  4. Most dislikes Huoxing and Lingxing: the two stars already pull against each other; meeting Huoxing and Lingxing, these hard and violent malefics, adversity thickens and worry fills the days. All six malefics subtract; Huoxing and Lingxing are most obvious, and anxiety is easy.
  5. Zuofu/Youbi and Tiankui/Tianyue arriving: suited to public service and mass enterprise: meeting Zuofu, Youbi, Tiankui, and Tianyue, the heart is thick, the person easygoing, bearing larger, suited to civil service or mass enterprise, where coordination can be used.

Teacher Ming's reading: how to read Tiantong and Tianliang in Yin/Shen

To close this article: Tiantong and Tianliang is child and elder sharing a palace, suited to support, not to being one’s own boss. A postal-horse place without Lu will drift. Most dislikes Huoxing and Lingxing; Zuofu/Youbi and Tiankui/Tianyue open the public-service road.

Three points are enough to remember. First, endure first, then sweet. Second, without Lu it will drift. Third, work under strong people, or blessing and shelter cannot be used.
