Wu palace Ji Xiang Li Ming; Zi palace easily becomes a lonely monarch

Ziwei in Zi/Wu Life Palace: the emperor star sitting alone in Life Palace, opposite is Tanlang, the Wealth Palace is Wuqu and Tianxiang, and the Career Palace is Lianzhen and Tianfu. The surface is steady; underneath is superiority, a liking to lead, yet indecision is common. Opposite Tanlang is a desire star, sending in material desire and romance, so others easily find the inside unlike the outside. Three directions have Tianfu and Tianxiang facing Life—called 府相朝垣 (Fu Xiang Chao Yuan, Tianfu and Tianxiang facing the palace)—yet the six auspicious stars rarely enter in pairs. Most feared is becoming 孤君 (gu jun, a lonely monarch): hunger to lead, no bench. Do not treat sitting alone as a good life. Wu palace sits bright, sun and moon both bright—called 極向離明 (Ji Xiang Li Ming, the pole facing Li brightness): youth more easily stands out. Zi palace sits level, sun and moon both weak: unused talent comes easily. Jia, Ding, Ji, and Geng years have auspicious stars and few malefics, so this year’s chart has more force; many malefics and no auspicious stars make ambition large and talent thin, with no one who understands.

Teacher Ming's reading: Ziwei in Zi/Wu Life Palace

Do not treat the emperor star sitting alone as sitting firmly on the throne. I read Ziwei in Zi/Wu as the hunger to lead most clear, yet the six auspicious stars rarely enter in pairs. Most feared is becoming a lonely monarch: wanting to lead, yet no bench nearby. Opposite Tanlang sends in material desire: the surface is sunk, underneath desire is many. First take in these two words: lonely monarch.

Jia, Ding, Ji, and Geng years share the same point: auspicious stars, days a little thicker. If your year is not listed, do not worry—first understand this star group's temperament.

Ziwei in Zi versus Wu

Without Bai Guan Chao Gong, Ziwei becomes a lonely monarch

Ziwei is like an emperor and needs 百官朝拱 (Bai Guan Chao Gong, all officials facing the throne)—Zuofu/Youbi, Tiankui/Tianyue and that bench—before it can deploy. In Zi/Wu the six auspicious stars rarely enter in pairs: ideals are high, action is slow. Without assistants it is a lonely monarch, hunger to lead with nothing under it.

Ji Xiang Li Ming pattern: Wu palace is strong; Zi palace easily has unused talent

Wu palace is in temple (bright/strong)—sitting bright, decision is stronger, sun and moon both bright, so youth more easily stands out. Zi palace sits level, sun and moon both weak: surplus of ambition, shortfall in landing. Even meeting the six auspicious stars, force is still not enough; further malefics look still more like a lonely monarch.

Opposite Ziwei is Tanlang: the surface is sunk, underneath desire is many

Tanlang is a desire star and also a peach-blossom star: it adds a little manoeuvre, and also brings in material desire and romance. The surface can hold its breath; underneath it longs for a handsome life and loves face, so others easily find the inside unlike the outside.

Ziwei sitting alone in Zi/Wu: imperial qi is most clear

Ziwei transforms as honour, meaning it governs dignity. Sitting as one star, hunger to lead is most clear. The surface is steady; underneath stubborn, unwilling to lose, fond of giving orders, yet often short of a real view. Short boards are obsession, likes and dislikes at will, heavy suspicion, and easy listening to slander.

Learning points: Ziwei in Zi/Wu Life Palace

  1. A lonely monarch further meeting Qingyang/Tuoluo: easy to stain a name over money: already a lonely monarch, further without assistants: laborious, solitary, often feeling unused talent. Further Qingyang and Tuoluo, classic texts call 無道之君 (wu dao zhi jun, a ruler without the Way): the native easily turns harsh, false in kindness. Qingyang in fall still more needs watching lawsuits or surgery.
  2. Property and Parents are empty palaces: Property empty: the footing is unstable, work and residence often change. Parents empty plus heavy malefics: the tie to parents is thinner, or independence away from home comes early.
  3. Opposite Tanlang meeting peach blossom: easy to lose oneself in wine and colour: further malefics make it clearer. Tianxing must also be met before self-discipline is enough; otherwise feeling and reputation both easily go wrong.
  4. Opposite Tanlang meeting Huoxing/Lingxing can form Huo Tan or Ling Tan: more willing to carry affairs, money comes faster, rank is not necessarily high. Huoxing and Lingxing sit bright in Wu palace and weak in Zi palace; Wu palace is clearly better than Zi palace.
  5. Spouse Palace is Qisha; female natives should go slower: meeting malefics, often first smooth then inauspicious, like fine jade with a flaw. Spouse or Fortune further meeting malefics: late marriage is better than early; marriage swings are large—do not rush.
  6. Ziwei needs Bai Guan Chao Gong before blessing follows: Lucun, Zuofu/Youbi, and Tiankui/Tianyue are most liked, before money and career keep up; meeting Wenchang/Wenqu, the seat is a little higher. Neighbouring palaces clamping Life can also fill presence and reduce hardship a little.
  7. Meeting Dikong, Dijie, or Huagai, philosophy or religion suits: without Bai Guan Chao Gong, further Dikong, Dijie, Tiankong, or Huagai, thought easily pulls outward. Ziwei in Zi/Wu and in Mao/You is both affected by Tanlang; these stars can correct desire, toward scholarship or cultivation. Tiankui/Tianyue, Wenchang/Wenqu, or Hua Ke more able to stand in academic or religious circles.

Teacher Ming's reading: how to read Ziwei in Zi/Wu

To close this article: Ziwei sitting alone in Zi/Wu, imperial qi is most clear: ideals high, action slow. Without Bai Guan Chao Gong it is a lonely monarch; Qingyang/Tuoluo stacked on is most feared. Property and Parents empty, footing unstable. Opposite Tanlang meeting peach blossom: feeling and reputation must be gathered by the native. Jia, Ding, Ji, and Geng years have auspicious stars, so the lonely-monarch feel fades a little.
