The Ten Gods - Meanings and Practical Use

The Ten Gods name how other stems and branches relate to the Day Master: same as me, generates me, I generate, controls me, I control—split Yin-Yang into ten labels. Correct derivation grounds character, kin, and circumstance; names without derivation become tags.

Derivation steps

1. Set Day Master: day pillar heavenly stem (e.g. Jia-Zi day → Jia).
2. Set relation: for other stems and hidden stems in branches converted to stems, classify Five Element vs Day Master: same, generate me, I generate, control me, I control.

Read combinations before single gods

Labeling one Ten God alone oversimplifies. Ask first: can body carry Wealth and Officer? Are Killings controlled? Does Seal damage Output? Then major luck and annual luck. “Food God controls Killings,” “Wealth generates Officer,” “Seal protects body” are combination language—whether stems-branches truly form the force matters more than familiar phrases.
