Huoxing is fire lit in daytime: urgent, charging, cannot sit, speech and decisions all rush forward. Lingxing is a bell that suddenly rings at night: cold, a gap, matters coming from the dark before the person is ready. One hot, one cold. Neither is a slow medicine.

Huoxing: unrest, impulse, coming fast
