The last article treated Taiyin as how a person lives. This one treats it as image. Doushu can judge events because of image: in the chart, this star becomes which kind of person, which class of thing, which kind of work.

Taiyin’s images cluster. Mother, night, water, silver, softness, home, storing, feeling, things that are beautiful without being glaring. Hold that line and the images will not drift. For character, see Taiyin star.

What Taiyin itself carries

Taiyin stands for that maternal light: filial feeling, weighting bonds, a fine mind, thoughtfulness, care for the body and for feeling. It also has perfectionism. Home arrangement, the atmosphere in a relationship—a little off, and it feels sharp.

It is one of the wealth stars, leaning toward “wealth that can stay”: deposits, a house, jewellery, a life that is looked after. It is often a family nobleman too. When someone has nowhere to go, Taiyin’s rescue mostly comes from a mother, a female elder, or a place to spend the night—not from a nobleman on a battlefield.

As talent, strong Taiyin people have thick family feeling, sensibility, high warmth, and usually decent rapport with the other sex. As a pattern, it stresses family, resources, giving, and sacrifice. Note the last two: giving and sacrifice. Taiyin’s grace is often bought with its own night.

Men and women: Taiyin is not the same script

Men’s charts

A man with Taiyin in Life Palace mostly builds wealth slowly by himself. Not that no one helps—he is not used to grabbing in a hard way. Fine-grained, minds feeling, sometimes said to have feminine traits. That is not a slight. When he decides, he counts atmosphere and consequence together.

Fallen Taiyin in a man’s Life Palace: the person drifts toward enjoyment, the mind floats. Money and feeling are like tide, come and go. To make him save, first fix the daily rhythm. Taiyin fallen: once life is chaotic, the image scatters.

Taiyin in Wealth or Property on a man’s chart is still wealth. The earning style leans steady, service, markets tied to women or the home. In Spouse, the partner is often more maternal, or more in need of safety; the house has to be looked after like a home.

Women’s charts

A woman with Taiyin in Life Palace more easily receives resources on the partner line and the family line. Not that she does nothing. Her field already sits on home, feeling, and being needed, so resources flow along that field.

Fallen Taiyin in a woman’s Life Palace: peach blossom easily runs heavy, vanity higher. Moonlight too scattered: everyone seems able to light her for a moment, and no one lights her for long. The advice is not a moral trial. Pull Taiyin back home: a fixed person, a fixed place to live, a fixed income. Scattered Taiyin most fears “a little more being seen”—that enlarges peach blossom and spending together.

Taiyin in Career on a woman’s chart can still be very professional. The professional face often carries care, aesthetics, coordination, night, or indoor work. In Health, ask the line of mood, gynaecology, hormones, and sleep.

Meeting Lucun or Hua Lu, enjoyment and storing step up

Taiyin most likes being “kept.” Lucun is a storehouse; Hua Lu is inflow that can be received. When Taiyin meets these two, the level of enjoyment rises: better food, better housing, more beautiful things, and wealth more visible.

That is not a licence to spend. Taiyin with Lu is moonlight on water—pretty, and easy to make people think the light will always be there. What to teach is storing: turn Lu into property, into skill, into a life you can spend the night in, not into tonight’s scene.

Taiyin Hua Ji is the reverse. The light is still there; it cannot be held. Labour, change, suspicion, relationship trouble. Same star: Lu and Ji differ on “can it be held,” not on “is there a moon.” Sihua: Sihua.

What work suits Taiyin

Taken as occupation, Taiyin walks softness, beauty, night, home, women, water, care, indoors. Not all items need to hit. Two or three is enough.

  • Property, housing agency, facilities. Property is home; Taiyin is the feel of running a house.
  • Interior design, art and layout. Tuning a space and a picture until they are comfortable is Taiyin perfectionism used well.
  • Cosmetics, clothing, jewellery. Makeup, cloth, silver and ornament—beauty worn close to the body.
  • Childcare, care work, nursing, counselling. Night, the body, feeling, being needed.
  • Sales and service aimed at women. She speaks that language of feeling.
  • The fine end of a skilled trade. The patient part of craft, documents, research.

Do not shove Taiyin into a purely killing field, purely socialising until dawn, or a room with no private corner. Not that it cannot be done. Done, it pays with sleep and mood. If Career Taiyin also meets malefics, the trade can still be the list above; the process will be noisier and more broken, and the person needs even more night for themselves.

On career charts led by Taiyang, Wuqu, or Qisha, Taiyin better suits a side role of aesthetics and home. The main star decides the battlefield; Taiyin decides whether you can still get home. Action palaces: Practice.

A small drill for taking images

When you judge one concrete matter, Taiyin can be asked this way:

  1. In this matter, is there mother, woman, night, water, silver, house, feeling?
  2. Is it coming in (temple-bright, Lu) or leaking out (fallen, Ji, malefics)?
  3. Is the querent a man or a woman? Men lean toward building it themselves; women lean toward resources of feeling and kin. Split that layer first.
  4. Which palace? In Wealth it is money; in Spouse it is a partner; in Parents it is home teaching; in Health it is body and mood.

All four together, Taiyin is no longer only “gentle wealth star.” Images of people and things are for judging events, not for writing character essays.

Ziwei is the daytime seat. Taiyin is night water. Both have to be readable, or the chart has no day and night. Ziwei: Ziwei star.

Zi Wei Dou Shu Taiyin symbols FAQ

Taiyin in Career—does that mean unfit to be a manager?

Fit to be the manager who keeps people looked after and the atmosphere tuned. Unfit to be the manager who only shouts. Management can be yin-soft. In trades where the team must be steady and clients must be caught, Taiyin holding the room is actually accurate.

No Taiyin in Life or Wealth—does that mean no mother tie and no money?

Taiyin in other palaces still works. For the mother tie, ask Parents, Happiness, and Travel. For money, the Wealth Palace stars matter more. A star not sitting in Life does not delete that topic from a life.

Do jewellery and cosmetics require Taiyin?

That is a ranking of images, not a licence. Taiyin makes it smoother. Without Taiyin, Wenchang and Wenqu, Tanlang, or Tianfu can still do beauty and ornament. Taiyin is only the road that looks most like it.

Lucun with Taiyin in Spouse—does that mean the partner is rich?

The image is there. Still read the other person’s palaces and both charts. Lucun is a storehouse. A storehouse in Spouse: resources in the relationship are thick, or you are good at saving for this relationship. Who pays is an interaction question. Do not write the storehouse only on the other person’s head.
